The i3+ EVO, unlike some of the other robot vacuums we tested has a self emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt compartment located on its charging base once it is fully filled. This reduces hands-on maintenance and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it must be manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's inner dustbin holds 2.4L of debris and is more than enough to get it through five or four cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.
This model, like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also lets you navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7 can also use its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO cannot.
While the i3+ EVO is more effective at picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs that we tested but it's not the best in terms of cleaning edges and corners. It is also less gentle on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It pushed chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our bed, and it became stuck on cords and toys during testing.
